Glazing in Garage Doors

Glazing in Garage Doors

Garage doors come in many styles and designs. One of the choices you’ll need to make when buying a new garage door is whether to have glazing in the door. It will largely be an aesthetic decision, but it also comes down to more practical factors like the insulation and the price. You may find that it costs more to have a glazed garage door, especially if you have lots of glass in it for decorative purposes.

Look at various designs and choose the type you like, with or without glazing. When you know what type you want, this will also dictate whether glazing is a practical option. For example, if you have a roller shutter door, this will be a single metal curtain and won’t come with glazing in it, as the door will roll up. If you use your garage as a workshop, home gym, or if it has any purpose other than just a garage, glazing can help make the space brighter and more inviting.
